Concept project
Tint
Shopify theme
Creator-led brands often sell a handful of products to followers arriving from Instagram and TikTok, but most Shopify themes are built for large catalogues. Tint is built around how creators actually sell: shoppable routines, a link-in-bio page, vertical video and no apps required.

Concept project: a self-initiated Shopify theme, being prepared for Shopify Theme Store submission.
The problem
Creator-led brands usually sell a small range of products, often fewer than 30, to followers arriving from Instagram and TikTok. Most Shopify themes are designed for large catalogues, with mega menus, deep collection filtering and dense product grids. For a creator selling a handful of products, that structure gets in the way of what actually sells: the creator, the routine and the reason to buy now.
The goal
Build a theme around how creators sell. That meant short paths from a social link to checkout, products shown in the context of real use, and a store a creator can run from the theme editor without apps or developer help.
The approach
I built Tint from scratch as an Online Store 2.0 theme on Shopify’s Skeleton starter, rather than customising an existing theme. That kept the code lean and let every section be designed for small catalogues from the start.
Shoppable routines
Numbered steps that show how products are used together, each with a product picker and quick add. A routine sells the set, not just the single product.
Link-in-bio page
A dedicated landing page for social traffic, with a discount code, a launch countdown and a coming-soon state for new drops.
Video built for social content
Vertical video cards that match the format creators already film in, and a Video section that loads nothing until the visitor presses play.
Built-in essentials
Creator story section
Complete the set recommendations
Free shipping progress bar
Native star ratings, with no review app required
Hero with separate mobile image or video
Empty sections hide themselves, so a half-filled store still looks finished
Two presets
Tint is bold and colourful. Chalk is calm and minimal. The same sections work in both, so a brand can change its whole look from the theme editor.
Performance and accessibility
Speed and accessibility were priorities from the first section, not a final pass. Tint scores 94 to 98 on mobile Lighthouse, 99 on desktop and 96 to 97 for accessibility, with no issues found in axe testing.
What’s next
Tint is being prepared for Shopify Theme Store submission. Two demo stores are in progress: Sipwell, a drinkware brand using the Tint preset, and Softday, a skincare brand using the Chalk preset.
